T-H Marine CBG-2-DP RiggingThe T-H Marine CBG-2-DP is a 2 in. black cable boot grommet designed to work as an inner sleeve inside a T-H Marine cable boot. It fits into the pass-through hole in the transom or deck where steering cables, electrical wiring, and control cables exit the boat, providing a smooth interior surface that prevents cables and hoses from chafing against a rough or sharp-edged hole cut.Without a grommet, cables rubbing against an unfinished fiberglass or aluminum edge will wear through their outer jacket over time, which can cause electrical shorts, steering cable failure, or hydraulic line damage at the worst possible moment. The grommet eliminates that contact point entirely. The T-H Marine cable boot then fits snugly over the top of the grommet, sealing the opening against water intrusion and completing the installation.This is the 2 in. version. The CBG series is also available in 3 in. and 4.5 in. sizes to match different cable boot dimensions.
