EMP 46-02340 Water Pump Housings This water pump housing is a direct replacement for Yamaha OEM part 61A-44311-01-00, designed for Yamaha 115-300 HP outboards from 1996 and later. The housing is the outer shell of the water pump assembly, enclosing the impeller and wear plate and directing raw water flow up through the engine's cooling system. A cracked, eroded, or warped housing reduces pump efficiency and can lead to overheating even if the impeller itself looks fine. If you're doing a full water pump service and the housing shows scoring, cracks, or significant wear on the inner bore, replacing it along with the impeller is the right call. It's a straightforward part to swap during any lower unit service on these engines.
