This Sierra low-permeation fuel hose is built for boats that need to meet today's tighter emissions standards without cutting corners on durability. At 3/8" inner diameter and 250 feet long, it's a serious roll of hose designed for real-world marine fuel systems.
The construction starts with a plastic barrier veneer bonded to an NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber) outer tube layer. That combination keeps fuel vapors from permeating through the hose wall, which is exactly what the EPA and CARB low-permeation requirements are looking for. Polyester reinforcement runs through the middle, giving the hose the structural backbone to handle the pressures and flex points common in marine fuel lines.
It handles gasoline, ethanol-blended fuels up to E85, diesel, and all biodiesel blends, so it covers the full range of what you're likely running. The outer layer is weather- and UV-resistant, which matters when hose runs are exposed to sun and salt air over time.
This hose meets USCG Type A1-15 requirements for pleasure boats and is compliant with SAE J1527 Type A1-15, ISO 7840 Type A1, and NMMA/CE accepted standards. It's rated for fuel feed applications, making it a solid choice for primary fuel line runs.
