Over time, straps crack, fatigue, or go missing during service — and a strainer that isn't properly mounted is a strainer that can shift, vibrate, or come loose at the worst possible moment. This is a direct replacement for the original strap, so the fit is exact. No trimming, no improvising with zip ties or hose clamps. Just swap it in and move on. GROCO builds these to the same spec as the strainer itself, which means you're not introducing a weak link into an otherwise solid installation. If you're rebuilding a strainer, doing a through-hull service, or just noticed the old strap has seen better days, keep a spare ARG-502 on hand.
