EMP 61-02690 Bellows The EMP 61-02690 is a bellhousing bellow kit for MerCruiser Bravo family sterndrives, covering model years 1988 to 2009. The bellhousing bellow is the rubber boot that seals the opening between the transom and the sterndrive bellhousing, keeping water out of the bilge at the point where the shift cable, throttle cable, and u-joint shaft pass through the transom. A cracked, torn, or collapsed bellow is one of the more common causes of water intrusion in sterndrive boats and should be inspected at every annual service. This kit includes the bellow along with the clamp and sleeve needed for a complete installation. Fitment covers MerCruiser Bravo, Bravo X, Bravo XR, Bravo XZ, and Blackhawk bellhousing assemblies.
