This kit is designed for Volvo Penta V8 engines in the 225 to 320 horsepower range, specifically GM and Volvo OS engines equipped with Delco HVS distributors. It includes the distributor cap along with the other ignition components needed for a full tune-up service. If you only need the HVS cap by itself, that is available separately as item 300-03093. This kit is a direct replacement for Volvo Mallory Kit 9-29318, so if you are cross-referencing from that number, you have found the right part. EMP builds this kit to OEM specifications, meaning the cap, rotor, points, and other included components are dimensionally and electrically correct for the listed applications.
