River Anchor

How does the River Anchor work?   River anchors work best by lowering the anchor slowly so it will dig into the river bottom and set properly..  The flukes penetrate, whereas a mushroom would not, but also their weight holds.

How are the River Anchors in retrieving? A rather simple process of pulling forward until it disengages and then pulling the anchor into the boat.  Remember, as a rule, river anchors are heavy, so retrieval requires some muscle.

How well do the River Anchors store?  They are bigger and heavier and have to be accmodated accordingly.

When would you not want to use a River Anchor? In conditions other than those with fast currents.  It is designed specifically for this need and no other.
