Covers & Accessories
Regardless of the manufacturer you choose for your Boat Cover, they have to answer for you the questions of strength, durability and resistance to abrasion. Fabric content will play an important role in strength and will also answer your questions in regard to resistance to mildew and UV degradation. Travel straps and tie-downs for your trailerable cover are also important considerations when making your decision.
Some of the most requested accessories for boat owners are canvas hardware kits, snap tools and replacement fasteners. Our accessory list also includes cover storage bags.
Buying a cover for your boat is only the first step. It is suggested you purchase or construct a boat cover support system. For some size covers adjustable poles in the center do the trick, but for others customers prefer a full system to raise the cover up away from the boat. Bow sockets or mounts work with hardwood or fiberglass bows to create a system of bows to support the cover if you prefer to construct it yourself rather than purchasing a pre-made boat cover support system.
There are a variety of boat cover tie-down options available including boat cover travel straps, snap-lock tie downs as well as quick release options. Most straps are made of polypropylene webbing and use non-marring clips to protect your boat.
Outboard motor hood covers may come with your cover for outboard motor styles, but if not or if you need to replace it you should be able to find one in this selection. They come in semi-custom and custom fit styles. The semi-custom motor hood covers are primarily in a neutral gray polyester, cotton or cotton blend fabric. Other features include breathable fabrics to prevent mildew and draw ropes sewn into the hem for tight fits.
There are several options for boat cover repair. Some provide neutral tray fabric along with adhesive while others are more universal fabric repair kits in clear. There are options for emergency clear tape that can even be applied to the canvas when wet.
When you make the decision to winterize your boat via shrink wrap rather than a boat storage facility or garage you will find everything right here you need to complete that D-I-Y shrink wrap project for your boat. The shrink wrap, the heat shrink tape, foam padding, tools, shrink wrap vent applications and doors.
In lieu of a covers, should you decide to tarp your boat you will need quality boat storage tarps in an appropriate size for your application. Tarps are designed to not only cover boats but can be used for a variety of other coverage needs you might have every day. Most are thick and have added UV inhibitors, designed to last for a long time.
You can protect your interior from deadly mold and mildew when it is covered with a vented boat cover system designed to keep air moving through the space between the cover and the boat. Water stays out, but air flows through.
